'Piano Works' is an exquisite collection of piano pieces, recorded in Paris a city Craig regards as his artistic muse. It’s a collection of original works, including piano versions of 'Satine’s Theme' from 'Moulin Rouge', 'Morning Breaks' from 'Romeo & Juliet' and 'Glasgow Love Theme' from 'Love Actually', as well as much loved Massive Attack tracks and piano arrangements from his two solo albums. Each limited edition release of 'Piano works' is numbered, with only 10,000 copies available worldwide.

To complement this album, ‘Piano Works’, the film, was shot centering on a unique solo performance of piano pieces by Craig Armstrong, intercut with distinctive reportage style images of Paris, in order to experience the source of Craig’s inspiration for the music. This is the first time Craig has been filmed performing his compositions.

" To be asked to create original images for somebody who scored arguably the most memorable and iconic scenes in modern filmmaking was daunting to say the least but what became quickly apparent in the edit was that the simplest of compositions would immediate breath a complexity of emotion even into the most modest of images."
